The HERCHILD Model 670N is a 2-channel tube-based Fairchild-type Vari-Mu compressor. It incorporates the Heritage Audio's experiences from developing the HERCHILD Model 660 and 670 and the GRANDCHILD 670/500. The HERCHILD Model 660 and 670 are a faithful recreation of the legendary Fairchild Model 660 and 670 by using authentic NOS tubes, carefully designed transformers and retaining the look and feel of the revered originals. The GRANDCHILD 670/500 has achieved the apparently impossible: integrating the sound of the classic Vari-Mu compressor into a 500 series module. The HERCHILD Model 670N is the next generation of Fairchild-style Vari-Mu compressors, offering faithful reproduction of the original sound and additional features for modern productions.
