Product information "Pinnacle Microphones Fat Top II Brown w/Lundahl Stereo Pair"
The Fat Top II is a short ribbon passive microphone that delivers a warm, rich, fat, rounded tone. The bi-directional polar pattern picks up sound essentially equally from both faces with a large null between faces ideal for isolating sound sources. Best suited for guitar cabinets, piano, brass and percussion instruments. Can be used in pairs in a Blumlein set up to pick up the entire room. Fat Top II comes standardly fitted with the upgraded Lundahl LL2913 transformer. Introducing the upgraded Lundahl to the already quality hardware makes for an extended frequency range. This gives the mic improved definition, lower floor and higher ceiling.
