The
analog standard
Elegant, flexible, and powerful: the discrete, modular
RND 5088 analog mixing console exemplifies the philosophy of outstanding signal
processing and significantly raises the bar for sound quality.
The 5088's core consists of an expandable 16-channel line mixer with 8
bus groups, 8 aux sends, 4 stereo returns, and a stereo output bus. The channel
strips can be freely configured to suit your needs. For this purpose,
microphone preamps, compressors, equalizers, and more can be integrated into up
to two Penthouses using the Portico series modules. Pure flexibility.
The 90V difference
The new, fully discrete architecture of the 5088 is the essence of Rupert
Neve's accumulated experience in analog circuit design. High-voltage
operational amplifiers custom-built for the 5088 completely eliminate
crosstalk. The new op-amp cards offer generous headroom, a wide dynamic range,
and astonishing frequency response, all while maintaining extremely low
distortion and noise.
Legendary Transformers
As a staunch advocate of transformer-based designs, Rupert Neve has installed
custom-designed transformers for each output and input. These transformers
electrically decouple the console (floating ground) and ensure the classic,
high-quality sound of his classic designs.
Completely Modular Design
As the heart of a studio, a mixing console must be reliable, offer
uncompromising audio quality, and ensure a fluid workflow. The timeless design
of the 5088 has been developed and continually improved over the past decades.
In terms of sound, it represents the pinnacle of Rupert Neve's previous
developments. Because the 5088 is completely modular, engineers can integrate
their existing equipment and continue to use their microphone preamps,
equalizers, and compressors without having to pay for unnecessary features on
their channel strip.
Expansions, Penthouses, and Porticos:
Both the number of input channels and the channel strip features can be
customized on the 5088 using a 16-channel expansion chassis and Penthouse
frames. By adding one or two Penthouse frames, the modules of the Portico
series can be installed. This creates, for example, channel strips equipped
with microphone preamps, dynamics processing, and a 5-band equalizer. The
module bays above the groups and the master section can be used for stereo bus
and group processing, such as tape saturation emulation, stereo compression,
and stereo field processing. Unlike other consoles, the Portico modules can be
removed from the Penthouse at any time and used in standalone mode.
The meter bridge
Both a VU and an LED meter bridge for input and group level control are
available for the 5088.
Automation:
Optional automation can be installed to expand the 5088 console with motorized
faders and DAW read/write capability.
Safety Warnings: | Die spezifischen Sicherheitshinweise für das Produkt sind in dessen Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführt. |
