Blackhole is a massive reverberator that has evolved over the years by pulling in mass quantities of time and energy (of the development persuasion, of course). In its earliest incarnation – first in the DSP4000 and later in the H8000 flagship processors - it was regarded, by some, as a secret weapon. Recently it was tuned, expanded and enhanced and then unleashed in the Eventide Space stompbox. Now, it's available as a Native plug-in. Blackhole may not be your first choice to simulate an enclosure on the surface of the earth but, if you’re at all interested in ‘sculpting sound', Blackhole just might pull you in. From our vantage point, its possibilities appear to be endless but, of course, we can’t see beyond its event horizon.
Designed from the ground up for immersive, Dolby Atmos, and surround workflows, Blackhole Immersive expands the signature sound of Eventide’s stereo version across your entire immersive mix. Used as a send or insert, Blackhole Immersive remains respectful yet reactive to your carefully chosen track positioning. From delicate ambience to massive decays, you create and shape the listener's immersed experience – what, when, and where they feel it. Warning: taking the controls of this cosmic beast of a reverb is just plain fun. The vast range of the original fit perfectly in your mix, but now it's everywhere! Workflow Evolved The clean and intuitive interface seamlessly fits into your projects - whether it be mixing music, post-production for film, or sound design for games. This enhanced workflow gives you full control over the reverb across channels, for an evolving immersive experience - from subtle to radical. Workflow Examples Tilt the Gravity, Size, and Feedback parameters to quickly and easily tailor the immersive experience EQ the Front, Top, and Rear speakers separately to sculpt the reverb around the listener Use Crossfeed to blend the reverb between speakers - make a mono source truly immersive in one simple gesture Morph between two distinct settings smoothly and seamlessly - great for sound design The Universe is Expanding An immersive ecosystem awaits you, your creations, and your clients, and Blackhole Immersive gets you in. The list of platforms supporting immersive is substantial, and growing: Music: Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, and Tidal. Film and Television: Amazon Prime, AppleTV+, Disney+, Kaleidescape, Max, Netflix, and Vudu. Games: Xbox X|S. Eventide Clockworks BundleRewind TimeIn 1971, in a New York City basement, Eventide Clockworks revolutionized the audio industry by creating the world’s first studio effects processor--the Instant Phaser and pro audio's first digital device, the Digital Delay Line. Over the course of the following decade, Eventide would release the world's first Harmonizer®, the H910, along with the other industry firsts: Omnipressor®, Instant Flanger, H949, and SP2016. Now, producers and engineers can evoke the classic effects heard on countless records from the last 50 years with the Clockworks Bundle. Painstakingly modeling every aspect of these hardware units was neither quick nor easy but now the must-have sonic beauty of these classic boxes is available for use with your favorite D.A.W. live or in the studio.8 Iconic Plug-insThe Instant Phaser was the world's first studio phaser and the first rack mount effects unit, period. Originally intended to make the painstaking task of tape flanging quick and easy, engineers and producers would use it for smooth, transparent modulation and pleasing stereo decorrelation. It used analog all pass filters to mimic the effect achieved by time delay resulting in a modulation effect all its own. Experience all of its analog charm with the Instant Phaser Mk II plugin and add “Age” to taste. The Omnipressor, released in 1974, set the stage as the first dynamics effects processor, introducing the concepts of infinite compression, dynamic reversal, and side-chaining. The flexible nature makes the Omnipressor plugin a must-have, with options to control all aspects of dynamic modification. The H910 Harmonizer was the world's first digital effects unit. With its unique combinations of pitch shifting, feedback, modulation and delay, it was a huge hit across studios worldwide. Thickening snares, guitars and vocals are H910’s bread and butter, but robot sounds and gritty octaves are just as easily dialed in. Bundle includes H910 Dual. The Instant Flanger utilized newfangled bucket brigade ICs for swept delay resulting in a 'true', time-based, emulation of tape flanging. Whereas the Instant Phaser offered several methods of controlling modulation, the Instant Flanger allowed engineers to combine these controls. The result, more control layers and less predictable sweeps. Explore vintage modulation sweetness with the Instant Flanger Mk II.In 1977, Eventide released the H949, standing on the shoulders of the H910 as the second in Eventide's family of Harmonizers. It introduced a formal micro pitch-shifting mode, which is a great sound for lead guitar virtuosos. It also had the first Reverse delays and introduced a Random pitch mode, which works great as an automatic double-track for guitars and vocals. And, the H949 conquered the 'glitch' by using advanced autocorrelation techniques. Bundle includes H949 Dual.In 1981, the SP2016 was released and was the world's first programmable effects processor featuring ROM chips that “plugged in” under the hood making it possible to add new effects in the field. While it was not a Clockworks effects unit, the SP2016 earned its spot on this roster as it marks the opening chapter of modern Eventide effects processors, with the H9000 its current incarnation. The SP2016 Reverb plug-in includes modern and vintage versions of its signature Stereo Room, Room, and Hi-Density Plate.

The H910 Harmonizer was the world’s first digital effects processor. With its unique combinations of pitch shifting, modulation and delay, the H910 can be heard on countless ground-breaking works by artists from AC/DC to David Bowie to Frank Zappa. Simply put, nothing sounds quite like it. A powerful creative tool, the H910 plug-in is a faithful recreation of the original hardware. Use the H910's pitch changing ability to create specific musical intervals and perfect harmonies, spread guitars, fatten snares, apply subtle organic de-tuning to synths or add slap-back delays to vocals. At extreme settings, you can create unheard-of mechanical sounds, drone effects or robot language using self-oscillation, delay, and anti-feedback. Two is Better than One. When you purchase the H910 Harmonizer plug-in, you also receive Eventide’s exclusive H910 Dual Harmonizer. This version recreates the popular technique of running two H910 units in parallel to create lush doubling and other interesting effects.Features NEW Keyboard and MIDI mapping - The original H910 featured a keyboard remote control which was used live by several artists including Elton John. With the H910 plug-in you can easily use MIDI to control pitch and harmonization in real-time. NEW Envelope Follower -Engineers and producers discovered that sending a control voltage to the hardware H910 could be used to slightly (or massively) vary the pitch, creating entirely new sounds. The built-in envelope follower makes exploring these possibilities easy. NEW OUT2 Delay Group - adds inspiring attributes to your sound. True analog modeling of highly nonlinear electronics for faithful reproduction of the original H910's juicyness and grit. Perform perfect pitch changes controlled manually, via MIDI or with Anti-Feedback. Anti-Feedback modulates the pitch around unity for a subtle or wild effect. Optional "glitching" of original H910 hardware to create unpredictable sounds as it alters pitch. Modify pitch by musical intervals (diatonic) to harmonize vocals or solo instruments. Delay rhythms and melodies to create everything from slap-back echoes to feedback chaos. Create colorful, unique sound effects and drones through self-oscillation. Individually control delay outputs and dry/wet mix. Mix Lock allows for scrolling through presets or settings while keeping the dry/wet mix constant. BONUS: H910 Dual H910 Dual recreates two H910 units running in parallel to create doubling effects and other unique sounds. H910 Dual easily fattens and thickens instruments when assigning opposite pitch ratios. H910 Dual Stereo (cross-unit) Feedback can cause the incoming signal to shift up and then down continuously.
Building on the legacy of the H910 Harmonizer, the H949 was Eventide’s first de-glitched pitch shifter. Produced from 1979–1984, it introduced MicroPitch which used a proprietary single sideband modulation technique for precise control of small pitch shifts. The H949 also offered unique flange, reverse, and randomized pitch effects.Popularized by Jimmy Page (as the only piece of digital gear to grace his rig) and cherished by Suzanne Ciani, the H949’s full feature set is recreated in this plug-in. From basic engineering and sound sculpting tasks to demonic space robot creations, the H949 is built to inspire.Features Multi-effects Harmonizer with de-glitching Randomized and reversed delays MicroPitch for small pitch intervals Reverse pitch shift Combination digital delay, pitch changer, and all-around special effects unit Includes H949 Dual for stereo widening, doubling, and reverse link pitch alteration Multiple Uses Create perfect harmonies, custom musical intervals, or outlandish effects. Fatten snares, de-tune synths, spread guitars, and create lush vocals that glue your mix. Spice up your guitar solos with delayed reverse sweeps, morph a solo vocalist into a group of backup singers or send synths down flanged-out dub-holes to another sonic dimension. De-glitched Pitch Change The H949 algorithm uses a proprietary auto-correlation algorithm to make intelligent splicing decisions. The user can “dumb down” the algorithm by choosing a simple cross-fade algorithm which results in characteristic glitching. Twist the Knobs “Old-school” UI — just twist some knobs to dial in the sound you’re going for. Double Down This native plug-in version also includes the H949 Dual, which recreates the popular technique of running two units in parallel. Lush doubling, stereo widening, and simultaneous shifting of pitch up and down.
Depth controls the intensity of the effect. 100% adds the delayed signal to the dry signal. -100 % subtracts the dry signal from the delayed signal Three distinct flavors of flanging. Set the Mode switch for Shallow, Deep or Wide Manual control allows you to control the ‘comb’ effect by turning the Big Knob Oscillator drives the flanging at a user defined rate Envelope Follower drives the flanging based on the signal’s amplitude Remote maps the flanging control to a mod wheel for tactile manipulation Bounce mimics the distinctive effect of the tape machine’s capstan motor “hunting” for its proper speed when the engineer's thumb was lifted from the tape reel flange “Side Chain” allows for triggering the Envelope Follower from any source in the mix for inter-track mingling Exercise total control of the Oscillator with Sync and Retrig Tame the intensity by removing low frequencies from the flanged signal with the Low Cut control
Released in 1971, the Eventide Instant Phaser began the studio effects revolution by successfully simulating tape flanging, an effect that’s been at the core of legendary albums for the last five decades. Modeled on the original hardware unit, the Instant Phaser Mk II plug-in accomplishes the same legendary sound with all the analog personality, smooth modulations, and inherent musicality. The capabilities have been expanded, and now you can even take your phaser on an excursion from the 70s far into the future with the delightfully characteristic “Age” knob. Outfitted with a complete host of control options, the Instant Phaser Mk II is out of the rack and into your plugin arsenal.Features Add Age for component drift with time Offers three different flavors of phasing with the Mode switch: Shallow, Deep, and Wide Utilize one of four distinct methods to control the phasing Depth allows you to combine the phased signal with the dry signal Added Side Chain function allows you to trigger the Envelope Follower from a separate source in the mix for inter-track mingling Exercise total control of the Oscillator with Sync and Retrig controls Use Feedback control for a more pronounced sound Includes standard gain input and output

Introduced in 1971, the Omnipressor rack unit was widely used on hit records throughout the last four decades. One of our first customers was a young Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen. With the Omnipressor in his rig, his sound was never the same again.Features Dynamics processing for creating otherwordly sounds Gating, expansion, compression, limiting, and Dynamic Reversal Intuitive interface makes it simple to operate with the use of a Function dial
In 1973, Eventide Clockworks introduced the Omnipressor, the first studio product to encourage the use of dynamics for special effects. It joined the Instant Phaser and, shortly after, the Instant Flanger in studios worldwide. All were used on countless recordings and are now considered truly classic products. Unlike the Phaser and Flanger, the Omnipressor, with its stillunique dynamic reversal, infinite compression, variable gating, and separate "sidechain," was discontinued a few years later. It had become difficult both to obtain some exclusive parts and even more difficult to explain it to an industry that was much less sophisticated than it is today. The original Omnipressor was born from an idea Eventide’s founder, Richard Factor, got while talking to Mark Weiss, one of the scientists investigating the "18-minute gap" of the Nixon Watergate scandal. The sidechain idea that emerged enabled feats of compression that would be impossible (and unstable) with the compression architecture of the day, but doable with the more modern hardware of the 1970s. The earlier "white face (Model 2826)" Omnipressor was not just hard to explain, it was hard to use, and it yielded shortly to the "black face (Model 2830)" unit designed by Jon Paul, another ex-colleague of Mark Weiss. This version, after selling another few hundred units, in its turn yielded to the darkness of commercial necessity – what we now call "supply chain" – and so became a legend to collectors and a desideratum to recordists worldwide.
